The Futuremarket is for students who are just starting navigating the options and opportunities in school. The workshop helps students consider their personal attributes and preferences in the context of education and future employment. Students discuss and reflect on the purpose of school and the opportunities available for personal development. Students contemplate the skills and knowledge they may want to 'shop' for in the Futuremarket of school.
The workshop is complimented with a short pastoral staff workshop to help year group tutors, inclusion staff, head of year and careers leaders sustain the workshop.
Employability skills is a bespoke structured programme, that scaffolds students through the journey of exploring their personal attributes and matching them to potential jobs. The task book and workshop guides students to consider their stengths and weaknesses to prepare them for a mock interview.The programme is designed with careers leaders and includes; a tutor led presentation and task book, a delivered workshop and a structured plan to organise and deliver a mock interview day.
